David Phillips BSc (Hons) Chiropractic, DC, LRCC
Chiropractor

David has been qualified since 2002 and has been in continuous private practice since then in London and the surrounding areas.

Back pain and neck pain are the commonest conditions he encounters but he also regularly manages headaches, injuries and disc problems.

He uses a wide range of effective techniques – such as hands-on treatment to the spine, joints and muscles – and advises clients what they can do to help themselves so their recovery is as quick as possible and their improvement is sustained.

After working for a few practices over the years, he took over the ownership and running of Canary Wharf Chiropractic in 2017 whilst also remaining as a practitioner.

His aim is for the practice to always provide professional treatment and advice in a friendly and approachable way.

He is a member of the British Chiropractic Association, registered with the General Chiropractic Council, is a Licentiate of the Royal College of Chiropractors and is widely recognised by health insurance companies.

Jonathan qualified in 2010.  As well as building up extensive experience of working in general practice since then, his deep interest in sport and exercise has naturally taken him to also working with athletes, both at elite and amateur levels.  Over the years he has been involved in UK Athletics, fencing, rugby 7s and synchronised swimming.

What sets him apart from other chiropractors in this field is that he also has a Masters Degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine.  He is able to use his expertise at Canary Wharf Chiropractic to help people of all sporting abilities.

As well as his varied private practice, Jonathan is also involved in education, lecturing at various chiropractic colleges and also at Queen Mary University of London.

His other areas of special interest are neck and shoulder conditions, but he is equally adept at managing back pain and lower limb conditions.  He uses a wide range of techniques combined with rehabilitative exercises to provide patients with long-term solutions to their conditions.

He is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is widely recognised by health insurance companies.

Professional Affiliations

All chiropractors at Canary Wharf Chiropractic are registered with the General Chiropractic Council. Knowing that we are registered with the GCC should give you the assurance that we are properly trained and qualified and that we work to a very high level.

The GCC regulates chiropractors in the UK to ensure the safety of patients undergoing chiropractic treatment. They are an independent statutory body established by Parliament to regulate the chiropractic profession and they protect the health and safety of the public by ensuring high standards of practice in the chiropractic profession.

You can verify our registration details by visiting the GCC’s website here.

We are also members of the British Chiropractic Association, which is the largest and longest-standing association for chiropractors in the UK. The BCA only accepts members who have graduated from a nationally or internationally recognised college of chiropractic education after a minimum of four years full-time training and ensures its chiropractors maintain high standards of conduct, practice, education and training.

All BCA members are covered by a high quality professional indemnity insurance and the Association operates a robust professional standards and complaints management process.

Additionally we are are also part of The Royal College of Chiropractors. The RCC is an apolitical professional membership body that promotes and supports high standards of education, practice and research. Being active members of the RCC is another way our chiropractors strive to provide high quality care for our patients.
